A tiny rural country Moldova lies in Eastern Europe and was once a part of Romania. Moldova has a gentle valleys and hills. The steppes are vast, undulating, grassy plains that extended over much of Moldova. The country of Moldova is spread over an area of 33,843 square kilometer. Its estimated population is 4,300,000 people and this population is made of Ukrainians and Russians. More than half of Moldova's population lives in the country in small and rural communities. Romanian and Moldovan is the major languages spoken here. Moldovan Leu is the official currency of Moldova. The land is fertile and rich soil, more than half of the area is devoted to mainly growing cereals. The rest of the land is used as pasture. The warm climate is ideal for growing vines, thus this country produces excellent wines, which is stored in large underground vaults, tunneled into rocky hillsides. Here the temperature remains cool and constant.
