This tiny country in central Africa and is formed by the main volcanic Islands Sao tome and Principe and smaller Islands off the coast of Gabon. The mountains are covered with forest and rich soil that supports the farms lands that grow sugarcane and cocoa beans. The land area of Sao Tome is spread over an area of 1001 sq. Km. and has a population accounting to 159,900 approximately. The main languages are Portuguese. The pepper grown here is harvested straight away when they are half ripe berries cleaned, dried, and shifted to make ground black pepper. Fishing has a potential for economic development of the country. The capital is Sao Tome and currency used by them by Dobra.
