The Islands of Zanzibar united with Tanganyika mainland create Tanzania. The country is along the coast of Indian Ocean and more than half of the country is covered by forests. The largest of Tanzania is Dar es Salaam and a chief port. Diamonds, oil, and gas have been discovered in this country. Zanzibar lie off the east coast of Tanzania and is the world's leading producers of sisal and cloves, a plant grown for making bags and rope for export activities. Tabacco, cotton and tea accounts for two-third of the country Tanzania's export. The main languages spoken in this country is Kiswahili and English and their currency is Tanzania Shilling. Cotton here is produced on large scale on government-operated farms and is taken to the factories to be spun and woven into cloth.
